The book reminds us that when we were born, we cried while the world rejoiced. We must therefore live our lives in such a way that when we die the world cries and we rejoice. It enlightens us on how to lead a prosperous life and life of purpose.
The 101 soul-stirring advice focuses on the most basic things in life such as getting up early and not getting angry which we so easily ignore in our daily lives.
My key takeaway from this book, or should I say the action is to make the book my bible of life, reading the 101 chapters and practicing them as part of my life's long pursuit. This will for sure require strong determination on my goal of self-improvement.
The book teaches us to live life more joyfully, meaningfully, and completely. We would all like to have this kind of life, only that we have to put in the time, the effort and be deliberate about it.
For sure, reading this book more times will result in new meanings that will in turn enlighten one’s soul.
I would also recommend the book as a guide that someone can open and read randomly whenever they are feeling like they are not living up to their full potential. The nuggets of knowledge from the same will surely give one a new way of approaching life.
